Super Hero:Previous Super Hero Peter Steininger May 2024
Peter Steininger is an eighteen-year-old with ASD. He started his education journey through early intervention services and graduated Bellport High School in June 2023 with a Regents diploma, a member of the National Honor Society and as an Eagle Scout. He is currently attending The College Experience at The College of Saint Rose in Albany.
Peter joined Boy Scouts in elementary school with the goal of increasing his social skills, following group directions, and participating in activities. Through his involvement in scouting, Peter has not only achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with Bronze Palm but he formed lifelong friendships, learned amazing skills and found a love of the outdoors; especially fishing, kayaking, hiking and biking.
In May, Peter is the honoree at a Court of Honor to acknowledge and celebrate his accomplishment of reaching the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America. Only 4% of scouts who join BSA achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. Peter will celebrate with family, friends and his troop; Troop 4 of Brookhaven, NY.
Join us in congratulating Peter, this month’s Superhero of the Month on all his accomplishments and perseverance. As Peter would say, "Never Give Up".
